Shimano GRX’s mid-priced RX600 cranks employ a 2-piece design and are available in 2x11 and 1x11 configurations. All GRX cranksets use a new, +2.5mm chainline for increased tire and frame clearance. The 2x features a Wider-range 46-30T ratio, this, when paired with the available 11-34 cassette, offers an exceptionally low climbing gear while maintaining a ratio that allows riders to take advantage of strong tailwinds and long descents.RX600 series cranks also are available in a 40T single chainring option for those who prefer the simplicity and decreased weight of a 1x11 drivetrain with one of Shimano’s wide ratio 11-40 or 11-42T cassettes.Choice. Go with GRX’s 800 series 2x11 RD-RX810 or Di2 RD- RX815 rear derailleurs, designed for close ratio clusters, with 48/31 chainrings and an 11-34 cassette. Paired with 700c x 40mm tires, it delivers a top gear similar to a road bike with 25mm tires and a 50 x 11 gear. And on the low end, with its 31 x 34 combination, you get a gear that early mountain bikers would envy.
