With tubeless tyres becoming more and more prevalent, more and more riders are enjoying the benefits of tubeless. Rather investing in a new set of wheels, the Effetto Mariposa Caffelatex Tubeless Tape allows you to convert your regular inner-tube only wheels to tubeless-ready. Starting with the Caffelatex Tubeless Tape, you can remove your current rim tape or cloth and install the tubeless tape. This is the first step in setting your wheels and tyres up tubeless. The tape helps to make the rim as air tight as possible when combined with the tyre sealant. The width of the tape varies, so you must select the right size for your rim. The S Kit suits rims with an external section of 20-24mm, M suits 25-29mm and L suits 30-34mm wide rims.
When used on Presta drilled rims (valve hole diameter: 6.5mm), the rubber valve base ensures a perfect air-tightness simply tightening the valve on the rim (with its nut), without any additional adapter. When used on Presta drilled with a wider (> 6.5mm) inside hole, or when used on Schrader drilled rims (valve hole diameter: 8.5mm), Effetto recommend fitting the conic adapter on the valve before inserting it into the rim. Use the metal washer on the outside of the rim, before tightening the valve nut.
