X6 Outsole. Clip in and Stay in Control. The heart of the Gravita Versor shoe is the X6 Outsole. It's this that keeps you confidently on the pedals and is crucial for reacting quickly, aggressively and nimbly to changing terrain and trail features. For the clipped version of the Gravita Versor, Fizik has utilised a Vibram tread compound. This isn't quite as sticky as that found on the flat-pedal shoe but makes for a smoother engagement and disengagement from clip-in pedals. The rubber compound is formed into a zonal lug pattern. Low profile mid-foot tread offers an optimal mechanical interface with pedal bodies, keeping you planted even if you don't immediately find your clip in point. Meanwhile, the heel and toes feature a deeper tread for greater traction when hiking back up the hill. Flex is also tuned for the clip-in rider. The stiffness gets a boost, rated 5 out of 10 on the Fizik stiffness scale, optimising power transfer and improving pedalling efficiency.
