This durable and dependable Nukeproof tubeless tape has been tested by its in-house team and athletes to ensure a firm and effective seal. Made to meet the demands of downhill and enduro racing, it does a sterling job in keeping your tubes protected as you take on the most daring descents and trails.One 10-metre roll will be enough tape to cater for 4x 29” wheels. One layer with a 4” overlap is all that is required to tape your wheel for tubeless setup. These tubeless valves are universal and have also been designed to work with tubeless tyre inserts. These durably-made valves are ideal for efficient inflation. The adapted head allows the tyre insert to sit on top of the valve, with the shape of the head allowing for easy inflation and deflation. Each valve has a removable core allowing you to get maximum air flow from your tubeless pump or CO2 cartridge. The custom cap has been specially designed and has an integrated core remover for removing and tightening the core without any additional tools. The nut has also been designed so that you can get a good grip on the flat edges to firmly tighten the valve on the rim. An O-ring is included and sits against the outside of the rim to prevent damage to the rim. It features a special blend of alloy material, which produces a hardness similar to 7-series alloy, but with the ductility and yield properties of a 6-series.This gives you the best of both worlds in terms of stiffness, strength and weight. Nukeproof has also ensured this rear wheel's rim profile is the same as the front (sold separately), the only difference is the rear has a thicker sidewall for added strength on the trails. One final highlight is it comes equipped with J-bend spokes, which means that tensioning and spoke replacement is as simple as possible. Enduro ABEC 5 BearingsAfter extensive testing with various brands of bearings, Nukeproof chose to use Enduro ABEC 5 bearings in this rear wheel. These bearings have the “LLU/LLB” seal type, which uses two lips that make light contact in a groove to create a labyrinth where the water or dirt has a more difficult time to penetrate. LLU seals are similar, only the contact pressure or interference fit is greater to seal better.Enduro bearings have 80% grease fill on both sides whereas most other bearings have 35% grease fill on one side. This delivers full coverage, so there are no dry areas as well as avoiding metal on metal contact or wear.
