The wider 48mm faceplate helps provides secure and safe clamping, and the sunken section on the top allows you to run your topcap flush with the stem. The INDEX stem uses a unique "wedge" shape, giving it a smooth look yet retaining a generous 16mm of rise for riders who prefer a taller bar position without sacrificing the classic front load stem look.
