The BB-4000 has forged and machined alloy external cups and oversized cartridge bearings for smooth and reliable running. The bearings themselves are made from chrome steel and the BB-4000 is only compatible with Omega 19mm spindle aluminium cranks.
One end of the BBT-9 Park Tool bottom bracket tool securely engages the 16 notches of the bottom bracket cups, the other end engages the 8 internal splines of the crank arm adjustment cap. It also fits the rotor disc lockrings using 16 external notches. Warning: This tool has a long handle and it is possible to damage the tool or the component by over-tightening.
