This Funn E-Type chain guide is specifically designed for frames that have the two Shimano "E-type" or SRAM "Spec 3" front derailleur bolting points and has a wide 26-36T chainring range. This model is an ideal part if you're planning on converting your cross country (XC) or trail bike to a 1x drivetrain, as it will securely hold your chain in place over the rough stuff.
This models integrated skid plate protects your chainrings from rocks, roots and literally any trail obstacle that requires you to roll over it. The top of the frame mounting area has a raised fin, which will also prevent the chain from dropping behind the chainring and into the bottom bracket shell area of the frame. If you prefer to run the V2 as a chain guide only, then the skid plate can be removed and the dual pulley chain retention device will still perform to the same high level.
