crankbrothers Mallet E LS Pedals - Black - Blue, Black - Blue
  • £160.00

crankbrothers Mallet E LS PedalsDesigned for enduro riding, the Mallet E LS Pedals from crankbrothers will give you the extra edge. Featuring longer spindles for enhanced control and optimised clearance, they're equipped with 6 adjustable pins per side, traction pads, and a ribbed body, guaranteeing a slip-free and stable platform. They feature a four-sided easy engagement system, so you can just stamp down and go and also benefit from sealed cartridge bearings for excellent durability that's ready for whatever challenge you meet on the trail.PerformanceThe concave pedal platform offers a more secure foothold. Like it's DH equivalent you get that flat pedal feel whilst running clipless. 49g lighter and 12% smaller pedal body than the crankbrothers Mallet DH pedal with a 52mm Q-Factor compared to 57mm on the DH equivalent. Ribbed body allows for better traction when unclipped whilst chamfered edges allow a reduction in rock strikes. The open design also provides excellent mud shedding. 4-sided entry: clip in on all 4 sides of the pedal, by pushing forward or pulling backwards on the pedal.FitIncreased float: 6° of side-to-side rotational play. The float of the pedal allows for the rider to shift positions on the bike, while keeping their feet clipped into the pedal. This allows for improved rider control and bike handling. Fit adjustment: crankbrothers premium cleats can be adjusted for either 15° or 20° release angle. Zero-float cleats can be purchased separately. Customise the fit between your shoe/pedal interface by using integrated traction pads. The pedals come with the 1mm tread pads fitted and include set of 2mm pads in the box.DurabilityOuter enduro cartridge bearing is designed specifically for pedals. Enduro use superior materials, grease and sealing on their bearings which are designed especially for use on a bike. Inner igus LL-glide bearing has been exclusively formulated for crankbrothers. It performs in even the most adverse conditions out on the trails. The double seal system combines a double lip internal seal and a new external seal to keep water and debris from entering the pedal.MaintenanceCrankbrothers pedals are fully re-buildable for simple maintenance. There is a consistency in parts across all pedal models, which allows for ease of servicing, this is easily done using the pedal refresh kit.Features: 6 adjustable pins per side for grip 4-sided entry Superior mud-shedding capabilities Chamfered edges to reduce rock-strikes Premium bearings and double seal system Cleat Type: Premium brass cleats with shimsCleat Included: YesBody Material: 6061-T6 Aluminium/Composite Spindle Material: Scandium 435 Chromoly (CrMo) Wing Material: 17-4PH Stainless Steel Inner bearing type: Igus LL-glide bearing Outer bearing type: Enduro cartridge bearing Release angle: 15°/20° (customisable)Q-Factor: 57mm Weight: 424g per pairBuy crankbrothers Components from Chain Reaction Cycles, the World's Largest Online Bike Store.

FEEL THE NEW X-PERIENCE LOOK constant desire to innovate and improve your product experience has resulted in a design that is dependable, durable and easy to use. Our new mountain-bike pedal was constructed around a heavy-duty mechanism, is resistant to the negative effects of coming into contact with various external factors (rocks, roots, mud…), and provides consistent and reliable performance over time. Its spindle, equipped with a double weather-resistant seal, has been improved to withstand even the worst conditions you may encounter during your rides. We have remained devoted to the principles that guide us daily. Fewer hassles mean more time to ride, and therefore, more fun. TECHNOLOGY THE BEST POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO All the energy you produce is transferred to your MTB through your pedals. Their role, is therefore, crucial. LOOK’s objective in this new undertaking was to find solutions that would enable the most efficient transfer of rider power possible. That is why LOOK has chosen to place the weight/contact surface ratio as the primary factor when defining the product. Generally speaking, the greater the contact surface, the more efficiently energy is transferred. On the other hand, the greater the contact surface, the more the pedal will weigh. The challenge faced by our engineers was therefore, to identify the zones that are useful for energy transmission and then optimize the pedal design in order to limit any that are unused. This task allowed LOOK to engineer a pedal with the best weight / contact surface ratio on the market. LATERAL CONTACT SUPPORT Lateral contact support guides your foot in finding your pedal and provides you a point of contact even if you have not yet engaged the cleat. This wide contact area prevents your foot from sliding on the pedal body and offers consistent and reassuring support. MECHANISM GEOMETRY The mechanism works regardless of external conditions (in the mud, forces are significantly different from those encountered when dry), more space allows for the shedding of various foreign matter (mud, sand…). These zones give the user a constant and stable feeling of being securely clipped in, in all conditions. ADJUSTABLE TENSION An adjustable tension screw allows you to fine-tune the entry/release resistance to your personal skill level. Fizik Gravita Tensor Clip Pedal MTB Shoes Cycling Shoes
  • £161.99
  • RRP £179.99
  • Saving you £10

Ride fast and enjoy total and confident control with the Gravita Tensor Clip MTB Shoes. Fizik's engineers have created a shoe that offers that perfect balance of protection, durability and a precise fit that is sorely lacking in many downhill and enduro MTB shoes. X6 Outsole. Clip in and Stay in Control. The heart of the Tensor Clip shoe is the X6 Outsole. It's this that keeps you confidently on the pedals and is crucial for reacting quickly, aggressively and nimbly to changing terrain and trail features. For the clipped version of the Gravita Tensor, Fizik has utilised a Vibram XS EVO tread compound. This isn't quite as sticky as that found on the flat-pedal shoe but makes for a smoother engagement and disengagement from clip-in pedals. The rubber compound is formed into a zonal lug pattern. Low profile mid-foot tread offers an optimal mechanical interface with pedal bodies, keeping you planted even if you don't immediately find your clip in point. Meanwhile, the heel and toes feature a deeper tread for greater traction when hiking back up the hill. Flex is also tuned for the clip-in rider. The stiffness gets a boost, rated 5 out of 10 on the Fizik stiffness scale, optimising power transfer and improving pedalling efficiency. Precision Fit Downhill and enduro racing is all about shorter more intense efforts. Sprinting from the start gate, pushing hard into berms and lung-busting racing to the finish line. And it's the precise fit of the Gravita Tensor that supports your foot during those efforts. No power wasted. The ergonomically designed lace pattern creates an even tension across the foot and makes for easy adjustment to how you like your shoes to feel. Stability is also enhanced via Fizik's Powerstrap. Sitting over the instep, it stabilises the plantar arch and locks your heel in place. It also doubles as a lace lock. Durable and Protective While rowdy mountain bike riding demands a tough shoe, Fizik didn't want to add unnecessary bulk or weight to the Tensor. The solution was to use a slim silhouette and utilise rip-stop fabrics that are very tough and yet remarkably light in weight. The rip-stop upper is also complemented by an injection-moulded TPU armoured toe-box to ward off rocks and roots - just what you need when you're foot out and flat out. Laminated scuff-guards also protect in high wear areas. Lastly, when riding aggressively you're constantly moving and it's easy to hit your ankle to cranks and swingarms. Here the raised inner ankle pad takes the sting out of those impacts, while not affecting your ankle mobility. Cleat Guidance These MTB shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use cleats with SPD standard (2-bolt standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB.
