With its increased head coverage in comparison to a standard mountain bike helmet, alongside a highly efficient ventilation system that keeps you cool and won’t slow you down, it's a winner every time you take to your mountain bike. Designed with the MIPS-C2® brain protection system, the Terranova can slide relative to the head in the unlikely incident of a crash. Combined with a tool-free, adjustable visor that is flex injected to bend when instant impact occurs, any potential damaging rotational movement to the neck can be redirected with ease and comfort. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.
