Offering incredible levels of protection but remaining remarkably light and well ventilated, the Super Air MIPS Helmet raises the bar when it comes to MTB trail riding performance. The Fusion In-Mould design features a tough polycarbonate shell bonded directly to a shock-absorbing EPS foam liner to give a helmet that can take the hard-knocks of mountain biking. The EPS liner is engineered with multiple densities of foam to better absorb and dissipate the energies of a crash, thus enhancing protection levels. It's also Super-Air Chinbar compatible (not supplied) so you can enjoy two helmets in one, trail and full face. Getting the right fit is also paramount when it comes to safety and comfort. The Float Fit System, with easy to adjust rubber dial, makes this an easy task. The perfect fit every time. Keep Cool. Keep Fresh. When it comes to keeping a cool head the Super Air excels too. 18 vents and the Overbrow Ventilation system turbo-charge airflow, drawing in cool air where it can keep your head fresh via the inner air-channel matrix. Sweat Guide padding draws moisture away from the skin for dry comfort while X-static padding, woven with silver fibres to inhibit the growth of odour-causing bacteria and fungi - no more itchy-scalp after a great session of mountain biking. FLEX Spherical + MIPS® ((Multi-directional Impact Protection System) The FLEX Spherical + MIPS® is the latest generation of slip-plane protection, designed to minimise the rotational forces placed on the head in the event of a crash. In doing so brain injuries are minimised. The FLEX Spherical + MIPS® has been created to address both high-speed and low-speed impacts while simultaneously dealing with rotational forces and at the same time it allows for better helmet ventilation too. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.
