Starting with the Polymer Shell, this is a light but protective outer, providing protection from those regular bumps and scrapes of mountain biking, a thwack from a trailside tree branch for instance or a slow speed tumble on a tight hairpin. Then there's the in-moulded impact foam. For higher speed impacts this absorbs crash energies and dissipates them to ensure your head is protected. The adjustable visor also breaks away, reducing rotational forces on your head and neck. We then come to the 360 ̊ Turbine Technology. 360 ̊ Turbine Technology The 360 ̊ Turbine Technology is focused on reducing the damaging effects of a crash on your brain. It works via 360 ̊moving discs, all made from an energy-absorbing material. These impart a reduction of rotational acceleration to the head and brain by up to 40%. The system also improves the absorption of impact energy - it reduces peak brain acceleration by up to 30% at the impact speeds associated with concussion. Sweat-Busting Ventilation When you're taking on challenging Enduro race or tough trails it's not just the safety features that will impress. Ventilation is also excellent. A combination of 23 vents and MaxiFlow impact foam air channels creates highly effective cooling airflow over your head, even at slower speeds. Getting sweaty is pretty inevitable though.
