Bell Spark 2 Helmet (MIPS)Now with improved ventilation, the Bell Spark 2 Helmet (MIPS) is more comfortable than ever. It's the Fusion In-Mould Technology that provides reliable head protection. A durable outer shell provides a strong and sturdy construction, capable of taking the hard knocks of mountain biking. This is bonded to an EPS foam liner, designed to soak up and dissipate the forces of head impacts during a crash. This sturdy construction is backed up by MIPS, an innovative system that enhances protection from rotational forces in the event of a crash. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.Keep CoolWhile you're flying downhill and pedalling technical uphills you'll be sure to build up some body heat, but the combination of 13 large air vents and the 'Sweat Guide' pad design keeps air flowing over the head and sweat wicked away for greater comfort.
