It features a one way internal fluid circuit, which makes bleeding easy, while great piston retraction increases pad to rotor clearance. Shimano has also ensured that this post most model is Ice Tech compatible, so it can be used with Ice Tech pads (sold separately) for greater heat dissipation, reducing brake surface temperature by 50 degrees Celsius. Ice Technologies for All Conditions RidingThe fade, which can occur to disc brake rotor and pad when braking on a long downhill ride for instance, has a negative impact on the braking performance.
