In the event of a crash, an almost inevitable part of mountain biking when you're pushing your limits, the A3 MIPS keeps your head safe in a number of ways. Firstly, the EPS and EPS foams are used in combination to deal with crash energy absorption and dissipation. Whether going fast or slow your head is kept safer thanks to this dual-density construction. The deep coverage towards the rear of the helmet adds protection to your head and is optimised for more aggressive mountain biking. You also benefit from the MIPS technology engineered into the design. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.Cool. Comfortable.
