It's All About the Speed The Cerebel is a compact aero road helmet, designed and engineered to improve aerodynamic performance. The Cerebel helmet was developed in close collaboration with Garmin-Sharp Pro Cycling team (now Cannondale-Garmin), Volvo Car Group and POC's own aerodynamic specialist at the POC WATTS Lab with the aim of creating the most aerodynamic helmet possible, in a wide variety of riding positions. Through the use of wind tunnel testing and Computer Fluid Dynamic (CFD) simulations POC were able to determine that the Cerebel excels in dynamic and varying body positions, which in turn benefits upper body movement and overall lactate clearing efficiency compared to a static TT position. The rear of the Cerebel is made of soft moulded EVA(ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer foam) covered in aerodynamic fabric further reducing drag and enhancing comfort. Clear Vision at speed you need ultra-clear vision and so POC chose to use a visor developed with Zeiss, leading optics specialists, in order to achieve absolute clarity as you ride.The visor tint has been specifically developed together with Zeiss to enhance the contrast of the road surface, allowing you to spot any irregularities or obstacles in time.
