TPS TyrePositioning System The narrower front tyre (22mm) provides reduced wind resistance and better handling. An adhesion-optimised tread mixture supplies the necessary grip, especially for wet cornering. The wider rear tyre (24mm) offers better traction thanks to a larger contact area and at the same time more comfort. The long valve on the Continental Race 28 Inner Tube enables you to use deep section rims (40mm, 50mm and above) as the shorter valve would not extend out of the rim valve hole. Shorter valve inner tubes are ideal for wheels with rim depths of 24mm or 30mm. This Continental Race Light Inner Tube uses a Presta valve with a removable core. Presta tubes are most commonly used for road wheels (700c) and also on many mountain bike (MTB) wheels too. Schrader valves are more commonly found on MTB or hybrid/city bike wheels as the valve is larger and won't fit through 700c rim valve holes.

SafetySystem Breaker The SafetySystem Breaker is made up of Kevlar reinforced, high-strength nylon fabric. Puncture and cut-resistant but nevertheless light and flexible, the tyre adjusts quickly to the surface below. Without raising the weight or rolling resistance noticeably, it protects the carcass against foreign objects and contributes to a longer lifespan of the tyre.
