Kevlar®Guard We have improved the well known Kevlar belt. This protective layer is stronger and safer but at the same time more flexible. This result in the protection level being higher and rolling resistance lower.
The spikes work best on ice when running at minimum pressure, while at maximum pressure the tyres can be ridden on ice-free roads with minimal road noise. Spikes F&Q's Can it also be ridden on a normal road? Without any problem, but if the road is only rarely covered with snow the resulting tyre noise may prove annoying. And it won't slide out in cornering? No. The spikes 'claw' really well into normal asphalt roads and even fast cornering is not a problem. Aren't spikes illegal? Bike tyre spikes are no problem. Only motor vehicles spikes are prohibited in some countries, because they damage the road. Fast E-bikes are however considered motor vehicles. Do the tyres have to be run in? In order to ensure that spikes are permanently fixed, tyres should be run in for about 25 miles on asphalt, while avoiding any fast acceleration or heavy braking. What is the lifespan of the spikes? All Schwalbe spikes have a core made of extremely hard wearing tungsten carbide, so they can cover a few thousand miles. It is normal for the spike edges to round off and for them to become more deeply embedded.
SDG Bel Air RL Chromoly Bike SaddleThe Bel Air multi-purpose Bike Saddle gives reliable comfort and control, whatever your cycling discipline. Made with a durable Polypropylene base, this SDG saddle’s edges flex during your pedalling for efficient power transfer when you need it most. The 2.0 possess the same overall technology with a Nylon base and the super light (SL) I-Beam use a Nylon Glass Fibre in a Solid Beam design, with a Honeycomb structured core for the lightest strength to weight connection possible. The Bel-Air uses a Mid-Density PU foam, while both the SL and 2.0 adopt the lightest EVA Foam available and all are strategically designed with a Rear-Rise which helps rotate the pelvis forward and can provide extra support for one who likes to use the saddle's Optimal Rideable Area (ORA). The Bel-Air and the SL incorporate a 3/4 Cut design for perennial relief and the 2.0 uses the Peri-Canal – a full-length channel to eliminate pressures to the soft tissue. The entire Bel-Air series features a Nose Platform, providing greater surface area control and power transfer, while also designed with a Down Curved Nose for moving forward on the saddle on seated climbs or in an aggressive forward riding position.Available in multiple covering options, depending on the specific discipline – Seamless 2.0’s to Microfibre and Kevlar protected sides, these decade proven designs are the ultimate tool for a wide variety of cyclistsFeatures:Materials: Black Microfibre top w/ *Black Kevlar Sides, * or Red Kevlar Sides, Snow Camo top w/ Black Kevlar Sides, Army Camo top w/ Black Kevlar SidesMicrofibre: Black Microfibre top w/ *Black Microfibre Sides * or White, Neon Yellow, & Cyan Blue Microfibre SidesNose Platform: Nose platform allows greater surface area for more control and power transferPadding Material: EVA FoamRails Material: Chromoly (CrMo)Rear Rise: Rear rise rotates pelvis forward for added supportStiffness/Flex: Edges flex during pedallingOptimal Rideable Area (ora): (90-130): Small – MediumDisciplines: Mountain Bike (MTB) Cross Country (XC), Trail, Enduro, Downhill (DH), Cyclocross (CX), & Road (Endurance & Racing)Dimensions: 270mm x 140mm (LxW)Weight: 325g Buy SDG Components from Chain Reaction Cycles, the World's Largest Online Bike Store.
