The mid-length tools allow for the multi-tool to reduce its thickness by half. The mid-length tools allow the user to access recessed fasteners but are short enough not to suffer twist or over-torque damage commonly experienced by longer multi-tools. Each tool is forged rather than bent from hex stock, although a more expensive method, making the tool stronger.
