For many years DT Swiss eschewed offering a carbon Enduro wheel for a simple reason; their alloy wheels were just so good that there was no sound engineering logic for offering a more costly option that offered limited advantages over DT's renowned Spline 1. However, with years of in-house carbon manufacturing and research now behind them, DT have now applied this experience to create a carbon wheel set that stands above all previous offerings. Engagement Angle A hotly discussed topic in the market right now - engagement angle! What is the engagement angle, how does this angle affect riding performance and is the conventional wisdom the more the better really always better? The engagement angle is the maximum degree that the freehub body can rotate until the teeth of the freewheel system engage and accelerate the hub. This angle is calculated by dividing 360º by the number of engagement points of the freewheel system.
