R5 Outsole Fizik has given the Tempo Artica R5 their R5 outsole. Made from a Nylon composite, it gives the shoe an ideal balance of stiffness, pedalling support and comfort. Press on the pedals and you’ll be propelled forward quickly and efficiently, but there’s enough flex for comfort over long distances too. Leave the expensive carbon soles for summer race days. The lack of vents is optimised for colder weather and a recessed cleat position makes off-the-bike use more stable – just right for when you’re grabbing a warming coffee at a café stop.
