Traditionally, the central channel of a rim is slightly curved or flat on most rims, but the Spank-specific Oohbah design features a wave-like pattern in the centre. This Oohbah feature in the centre of the rim adds exceptional strength and makes the entire rigid and creates greater lateral stiffness, traits commonly only found on wheels that are much heavier. This structural benefit also allows Spank to make rims that are wider without having to add extra material, which would in turn make them heavier. Technologies: Bead Bite: At an incredible range of pressures, Bead Bite is the solution to keeping your tyres burp free and fixed in place. Bead Bite rim technology enhances tubeless use with tyres of all types and with a greater range of air pressures. Bead Bite rims have 6 rows of tiny ridges that run along the vertical and horizontal faces of the bead seats. These tiny teeth create air seals between the rim and tyre as the bead conforms into them under air pressure.
