Troy Lee Designs D4 Composite Helmet Helmets
  • £260.00
  • RRP £400.00
  • Saving you £35

No matter where you get your mountain bike thrills, from weekend races on challenging downhills through to racing buddies to the bottom at the local trail centre or bike park, the D4 Composite Cycle Helmet has you covered. Confidence is given a boost thanks to its superb combination of safety features, unrivalled comfort and the usual Troy lee flair for design.  Keeping weight low but protection and durability high is the aerospace-grade fibreglass composite shell. This wraps around an impact-absorbing EPS foam core - the forces from any crash are absorbed and dissipated by this core, offering outstanding crash protection. Meanwhile, breakaway screws prevent the visor from catching on the ground and help prevent neck injuries. Lastly, MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) provides excellent brain-injury prevention - more on that below. MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System)  The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head. Shop All MIPS Helmets Click Here Uncompromised Comfort With this level of protection and head protection, you may think ventilation is compromised. But not a bit of it. Troy Lee have carefully engineered the outer vents and inner channels to work with the headliner so fresh air is free to circulate and keep you cool. Inside the D4 you'll also enjoy the brilliant XT2 washable liner. Lesser helmets will use standard foam liners which after continued use can soon start to feel uncomfortable and even itchy. Not the XT2. This anti-bacterial liner ensures no nasty odours or itchiness, and being washable you'll be able to keep it fresh for every ride. Tough, durable, protective and yet lightweight, the D4 Composite is the ideal full-face helmet for the weekend DH racer and avid mountain bike trail slayer.

MET Drone Wide Body Helmet Helmets
  • £261.00
  • RRP £290.00
  • Saving you £10

The MET Drone features a unique wide body, an aerodynamic design which directs the flow of air, greatly decreasing turbulence and drag, allowing for that precious marginal increase in speed that could be the difference in beating your personal best. The added volume at the sides directs air over the rider's shoulders which significantly decreases the effect of turbulence. The results of wind-tunnel testing have revealed that this smart design will save 10 watts over 50KM/H over its predecessor as well as competitor helmets.    The internal system of air channels maximises cooling by guiding heated air over and away from the head without affecting the aerodynamic advantage. The purpose-built Mag-Clip shield fits seamlessly with powerful, low-profile neodymium magnetic clips so it won't vibrate loose and there's an anti-fog coating to ensure visor clarity no matter how hard you ride.       If you are serious about time trialling and want to upgrade your helmet give yourself an advantage over your competitors, the Met Drone Widebody delivers smart aerodynamic design in a cool, comfortable package.

MET Trenta 3K Carbon Helmet MIPS Tadej Pogacar Edition Helmets
  • £290.00

Tadej Pogačar Special Edition We've all seen Tadej Pogačar's audacious attacks at the Classics and Tours. And it's the tufts of hair poking out of his Trenta 3K Carbon Road Helmet (MIPS) that have become an instant trademark, visible as he powers away from the pack. This special edition Trenta gets a sparkly iridescent finish and special-edition logos, making it an instant winner, just like Tadej.  Elite Performance The Trenta 3K Carbon has been engineered to give you the finest levels of head protection as well as energy-saving aerodynamics and incredible levels of cooling. When you're attacking from the peloton, just like Tadej, this ensures you're the freshest in the bunch.   MIPS AIR® Technology The MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) AIR® Technology is an advanced head protection system integrated into the helmet's padding system. This gives the lightest version of this outstanding rotational management system. The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. Shop All MIPS Helmets Click Here 3K Carbon Technology When it comes to lightweight protection, the MET R&D team have taken advantage of the properties of 3K Carbon. A carbon cage is embedded into the helmet, boosting protection levels while not adding weight. The carbon’s elastic modulus has been taken advantage of, allowing a reduction in the density of the EPS foam by 20% but maintaining the very best level of impact absorption. This gives you a super-light and highly ventilated helmet with no compromise to safety levels.  Safe. Fast. And Cool. The Trenta Carbon has been engineered to be both slippery through the air and to optimise air cooling. Starting with the airflow, the front vents harness the power of the Venturi effect. This has the effect of actively drawing in air and pushing warm air out through the rear exhaust vents. This turbo-charged airflow is also achieved without inducing excess drag.  To the back, the tail of the helmet also works for a specific aerodynamic purpose. Working in synergy with the NACA front vent, the tail design drives airflow for constant cooling. The tube-shaped tail and internal channelling also mean you benefit from up to 7% less drag compared to a more traditional road helmet. Less drag. Less energy wasted. More energy when going for the win.  Safe-T Orbital Fit The Trenta Carbon also features MET's most adjustable fit system yet, the Safe-T Orbital. This allows two-step occipital adjustment, four-step vertical adjustment and a micrometrical dial that allows you to fine-tune the fit for all-day riding comfort.

MET Codatronca Helmet Helmets
  • £290.00

Go with the Flow As we all know and can feel, wind resistance is the major factor to overcome when cycling at speed. And so it makes sense to do all you can to lessen the effect when racing against the clock. The Codatronca Helmet smooths airflow thanks to the carefully engineered wide-body design and short tail. The shoulders are an area that can cause considerable turbulence leading to increased drag. To lessen this drag MET has designed the Codatronca with a wide frontal area that guides airflow smoothly across this key area. The short tail design has also been engineered so you can move your head freely and still enjoy smooth airflow. The helmet remains efficiently aerodynamic from all angles of attack. Lastly, the large Dual Sheild lens integrates into the smooth design, minimising disruption to airflow and allowing for a clear view even when adopting more aggressive positions on your Tri-bars. And because it's magnetically attached, it's easy to remove and clip into the 'recovery' position as you're easing down after your effort. Cool and Easy to Use Of course, riding fast can generate considerable body heat but three air vents, carefully placed in areas of high-pressure airflow, creates an excellent level of cooling inside the helmet all without adversely affecting drag.  In terms of fit, the Codatronca benefits from the MET Safe-T Orbital fit system, this easily adjustable system provides 360° of adjustment, three vertical and two occipital adjustments, making dialling the fit of your aero helmet remarkably easy. The Fidlock® magnetic buckle system makes fastening quick and easy too. And for triathletes, in particular, it will give you an edge when it comes to rapid transition times.
